Rachel Thomas
Rachel is a Montgomery native who graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor's in Public Relations. She went on to graduate from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master's in Christian Education.
She was previously a member at Taylor Road as her family attended the church for many years. She began her ministry career in 2009 and returned to Taylor Road to join the staff in July 2025. Her experience includes children's ministry and marketing at a local pro-life ministry.
Rachel married Dale in 2011, and they have two boys. She enjoys reading, traveling, and attending her boys' many athletic events.
Life Kids exists to partner with parents in equipping their children with a spiritual foundation built on Jesus Christ.
Life Kids consists of our preschool and children departments with ages ranging from birth through 5th grade. Our mission is to introduce children to Jesus, teach them God’s Word, and prepare them to become lifelong disciples. We do this through multiple weekly programs including Nursery Care, Worship Hours, Life Groups, Children’s Choir, and Missions. Additional activities are planned throughout the year such as Vacation Bible School, Life Kids Camp, Mission Projects, and Family Nights to provide further opportunities for fellowship and spiritual growth.
Safe & Secure
Every volunteer serving through Life Kids undergoes a background check and completes multiple trainings.
First-time attendees are asked to register their child at one of our two check-in desks. From that point on, parents will be able to check in their child each week and receive matching stickers that will be used as identification at pick-up time.
