OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE

Over the last week, many of you have reached out to ask if there are any needs in our community that you can help with. Today, I received the following updates from our Montgomery Baptist Association Director of Missions, Neal Hughes. These are immediate needs in our community that, if you feel led, can help meet:
1) The Salvation Army has an immediate need for bottled water. Please have them take the water to the Maxwell Blvd site (formally Bell Street - 900 Maxwell Blvd, Montgomery, AL 36104) and tell the person there that Lieutenant Bryan Farrington requested the church to assist with this need.
2) Meals on Wheels has lost many of their drivers to the disease (quarantine and prevention). There has been a shout out for the church to come and help drive food to the seniors of our community tomorrow (Thursday, March 26) at the Archibald Center at 1 pm (115 E Jefferson St, Montgomery, AL 36104). Just show up prepared to drive these boxes of food to seniors at their homes.
3) Donna McCullough at Forest Park’s Love Loud Ministry has lost most of her volunteer force to the disease (quarantine and prevention). She has a desperate need for reinforcements. Food is being distributed in a safe way. Please contact her at 334-303-4421 for more information regarding their hours of operations.
4) Samaritan Inn Ministry is currently hosting two families and are expecting three more by the end of the week. They are in need of gift cards to local restaurants (amount can be up to $25). Please contact Debbie Jones if you can help - SamaritanInn@mgmbaptists.org.
