Preschool

Taylor Road Baptist Church Preschool Ministry is a family oriented ministry that provides a safe, secure and loving environment for children birth through Kindergarten. Tender, loving caregivers and volunteer Bible teachers help children understand that God made them and loves them. Through Bible stories, music, playtime, and crafts, children are introduced to Jesus as someone who wants to be their best friend forever!

In Bible study, children are taught Biblical principles that are reinforced with fun, hands-on activities, songs, and crafts. They meet on Sunday mornings at 9:09 a.m.

Important Information about Preschool Ministry

Your Child’s Health

We operate a well-baby program. For the protection of all the children in our ministry we cannot accept a child with a runny nose, fresh cold (four days or less), fever, rash, persistent cough, diarrhea or any other signs of illness. We ask that a child be free of fever for 24 hours. We request that you not place your child in the program while they are at risk of exposing other children.

When you arrive at the child’s room.

Teachers will receive all preschoolers (birth through kindergarten) at the door of their room and bring them back to the door when you return. .

Parents will complete a Preschool Information Sheet when they bring their child. The information will be transferred to a permanent information card and kept in the room. The parent will receive a numbered security tag corresponding to the number on the permanent information card in the room.

Checking on your child

After you have completed the check-in process, simply wave a quick good-bye and leave for the worship service. As you know, it is normal for little ones to cry when leaving a parent. This does not last long, and separation becomes easier over time. Our leaders will immediately try to create interest in a toy or activity and give assurance that you will return after the worship service is completed. If your child cries for an extended period of time of 10 minutes, we will contact you.

Feel free to check on your little one at any time during the worship service. However, we ask that you do so discreetly, trying not to let your child see you.

Picking up your child

When a parent returns to pick up their child, they must present the security tag to the teacher. No child will be released unless the security tag is given to the teacher. We also request you sign your child in and out at the door. The teacher will bring the child to the door without disturbing the rest of the class.

Please make sure that all your child's personal items have been returned to you before you leave the premises. Lost and found items will be retained for a short time.
